zsh colon modifiers corrupt git rev:path shell expansions

In zsh, git show $c:cli/bin/x.js treats :c as a history-style modifier on the variable, so b196519 plus :cli/bin/x.js becomes b196519li/bin/x.js. Git then fails with fatal: ambiguous argument 'b196519li/bin/...': unknown revision. Downstream diffs against the empty output can also look like every line differs, which is misleading when comparing files. Always write "${c}:path". A related zsh trap is unquoted grep --include=*.jsonl, which fails with no matches found, so quote it as --include='*.jsonl'.
