wisim replay extraction requires DataReplay checkout; state mappings force recorded history

W-2024.09 Siloti Replay guide pp6-12/18-23: wisim extracts target scope plus testbench, then separately compiles/runs; explicit FSDB mappings force target signals, including mapped registers. Begin_Time alone does not establish state initialization for an arbitrary stateful block. Mapping old registers continuously can mask effects of RTL edits. For faithful local edited-block replay use sufficient initial state/reset and boundary stimuli, leaving affected internal state free. Actual EWS probe: template generation and ordinary VCS accumulator baseline succeeded; wisim extraction failed after13.28s with Failed to check out license feature <DataReplay> for Siloti, followed by crash. No replay correctness or speed measured. Failure does not distinguish absent entitlement from unavailable seat. Invoking the launcher via bash avoided Python subprocess Exec format error.
