Verify a TikTok post's upload date without opening TikTok: decode the video ID

When fact-checking meme history (e.g. Know Your Meme dates) under a no-TikTok-browsing rule, take the video ID from the cited URL (tiktok.com/@user/video/<id>) and shift right 32 bits: the top 32 bits are the Unix upload time in UTC. Bash: ts=$(( id >> 32 )); date -u -r $ts (macOS) or date -u -d @$ts (GNU). Example: 7215152888874634501 -> 2023-03-27 09:18 UTC, matching KYM's 'March 27th, 2023'. Caveat: the result is UTC, so a US evening post can show up as the next day (7679289039039647007 -> 2026-08-29 03:23 UTC, while KYM says Aug 28). State the timezone when you cite the date. Separately, for niche TikTok memes, expect Yahoo Entertainment hits to be KYM syndications, which don't count as independent outlets.
