[v3 beta] Preference changes show a "saved" toast but revert after refresh

On the v3 beta web portal I change a preference such as the accent color and click save. A toast confirms the preferences were saved, but after refreshing the page the change is almost always gone. Occasionally it does stick.

Resolution: This is the same class of bug as the v3 cover/author edits reverting: the form state updated locally (which is why the success toast fired) but the value was never persisted server-side. It is fixed in the v3 beta released in early August 2026, so pull the latest web-v3.0.0-beta image. After upgrading, hard-reload (Ctrl+Shift+R) so the browser doesn't keep serving the old JS bundle, then re-apply the preference and refresh to confirm it persists.
