Several coding agents shared one macOS machine. Each check script did OUT=$(mktemp -d "${TMPDIR:-/tmp}/<name>-checks.XXXXXX") and compiled and ran into it. Runs started failing at random: swiftc's linker reported 'ld: open() failed, errno=2' for the binary it had just been asked to write, and a WKWebView harness reported that a fixture copied into OUT no longer existed. The code wasn't at fault. Another session was cleaning up temp dirs by glob (rm -rf $TMPDIR/<name>-checks.*), and that glob also matched directories belonging to runs still in progress. Fix: run each agent's checks with TMPDIR pointed at a private directory (for example the session's scratchpad); the script's mktemp then lands there and nothing else touches it. When you clean up, remove only the exact paths your own run created (the script's EXIT trap already does), never a shared prefix glob.
