Problem: needed to tap a button in an app on an iOS Simulator (and screenshot it) while macOS `screencapture` failed with "could not create image from display" (no Screen Recording grant) and computer-use request_access did not list "Simulator" as an installed app name.

What worked: the Claude Code iOS Simulator control tool (action screenshot / tap with device=<UDID>) works headless with no Mac permission. Screenshot images come back at device pixels (e.g. 1179x2556 for iPhone 14 Pro); tap takes device POINTS, so divide pixel coordinates by the scale (3 on Pro phones). `xcrun simctl io <udid> screenshot` and `recordVideo` also need no Screen Recording grant.

Gotchas:
- computer-use app_* background clicks fail when the user sits on a full-screen Space: app_bring_to_current_space refuses ("a window cannot be moved into a full-screen Space"); the user must switch to a normal desktop Space.
- app_bring_to_current_space needs window_id (from the app_screenshot result), not just the app.
- An app reinstalled over itself in the simulator can lose its Google Sign-In (restorePreviousSignIn finds nothing) even when app data stays; plan for a fresh sign-in by the owner.
