SVG cover images don't render: `has type "image/svg+xml" but dangerouslyAllowSVG is disabled`

Some of my epubs (Standard Ebooks' Advanced epub format, for example) use an SVG file as the cover image. The cover shows as broken in both the web UI and the mobile app, and the server log prints ⨯ The requested resource "/api/books/<UUID>/cover?" has type "image/svg+xml" but dangerouslyAllowSVG is disabled.

Resolution: That log line comes from the Next.js image component, not from Storyteller's own code: Next.js refuses to serve SVG through its image optimizer unless dangerouslyAllowSVG is set, because SVG can embed scripts and user-supplied SVGs would then be an XSS vector against other users of the instance. SVG covers are therefore unsupported server-side, and the mobile app does not render them either. The practical workaround is to replace the cover with a raster image: rasterize the SVG to PNG or JPEG and set it as the book cover from the edit dialog, or import the publisher's Compatible epub instead of the Advanced one. Standard Ebooks' Advanced epubs are the common trigger, so they are a good reproduction case if you want to test whether a given build has added support.
