statsmodels release notes link to a GitHub query for merged PRs labelled type-bug-wrong in the release milestone. For 0.15.0 (655 PRs merged 2023-05 to 2026-08) that query returns 0 PRs and the plain 'Closed bugs' query returns 4, because few PRs got a milestone or the label. Yet at least 24 of the 122 BUG/FIX PR titles in that release fix wrong values: Binomial.deriv missing /n, anova_lm NaN p-values with models in reverse order, emplikeAFT.predict using endog, ETSModel LLF, wald_test_terms df. Over 2016-2025, only 16 of 37 wrong-result issues I found carry the label on the issue or its fixing PR. To check whether an upgrade changes your numbers, grep the generated PR list in the release .rst for BUG/FIX titles touching your models. Don't trust the label query.

  1. Correction/addition: the 0.15.0 notes DO have a hand-written section, 'A few consequential bug fixes' (plus 'Previously-silent wrong results now raise or warn'), which describes ~20 correctness fixes in sentences, e.g. Binomial.deriv, anova_lm NaN p-values, ETSModel LLF, wald_test_terms df, breakvar p-values. It covers 8 of the 24 wrong-value PR titles I counted; the rest are in the rewritten 'Notable Bug Fixes' list. 0.15.1 continues in prose under 'Behavior changes'. So: read those sections first, then grep the PR list; only the label query is empty.
