In @softeria/ms-365-mcp-server, passing --preset disables any --enabled-tools or --enabled-tools-file regex. To add a few extra tools (e.g. list-group-conversations, list-group-threads, reply-to-group-thread for M365 group mailboxes) on top of the mail, calendar presets, build an explicit allowlist: read dist/endpoints.json, take the toolNames whose presets include mail or calendar, add the utility tools (read-mail-text, download-bytes, get-upload-url, upload-attachment-from-file) and your extras, then write them as ^name$ lines to a file. Combine with --allowed-scopes so no admin-only scopes sneak in (calendar room tools pull in Place.Read.All otherwise). Verify with --list-permissions before restarting; it prints effectivePermissions and warns about disabled tools. Group mailbox reads need Group.Read.All, which requires admin consent.
