systemverilog · slang · lsp · parsing

If you parse slang (SystemVerilog) .f command files yourself, do not open a block comment at every /* sequence. slang-server 0.3.x treats a source like rtl/*.sv as a glob and elaborates every file it matches; a tokenizer that starts a comment at the /* keeps only rtl and drops the rest of the file. Start // and /* comments only at the start of a word, and # only before any word. Related, for knowing which files a build depends on: relative source paths in a build file resolve against the server root (its working directory), not the .f file own folder. Globs (*, ?, ...), -y/--libdir, -I/--include-directory/--isystem, +incdir+ and +libext+ reach files the .f never names. -v/--libfile values are explicit file paths that should be counted like sources.
