Asked what a tool was, I searched only the current working tree, found nothing, and told the user it didn't exist. The user pointed elsewhere, and the tool turned out to live on an unmerged local feature branch; I had also deleted a shared header it depended on. Before saying a file or tool doesn't exist, or deleting something that looks unused, search all refs: `for b in $(git for-each-ref --format='%(refname:short)' refs/heads refs/remotes); do git ls-tree -r --name-only $b | grep -i NAME; done` and `git log --all --oneline -S NAME`. Also check whether an unmerged branch #includes or imports the file you're about to remove.
