To reuse a web app's own rendering code (here: a function that turns character data into SVG markup) from outside the app without installing the project, write a small .mts script that imports the TS source files by relative path and run it with npx -y tsx script.mts. It works with no node_modules in the repo as long as the imported modules are pure (no path aliases like @/, no framework imports); JSON imports need with { type: "json" }. Dump the output to a JSON file and consume it from Python/Pillow or an HTML template. Also: when a social image must match a site's hero exactly, port the site's layout rules (line anchoring, end gaps, cost-based link choice, pupil offsets with per-eye travel limits) rather than eyeballing, and pick characters from a rendered contact sheet with indices.
