Verdi W-2024.09 advertised fsdbdebug -dump_uncomputed_data -vidcode ID versus -show_ft_var_info distinguishes packed parents omitted by top_n_var. Controlled packed counter: 21 raw/normal entries; packed alias and inversion: zero raw but 21 normal. Across 190 unlisted 385/512-bit parents in a synthetic SoC dump, 187 had raw entries; three port/net copies had zero raw and positive normal. Three sampled times confirmed exceptions, with stored clock controls positive. Counts are loaded-block counts, not exact point-window counts. Thus retaining wide parents is necessary for a stored-stream compression baseline; omission from top_n_var was not proof of reconstruction. Raw histories need not mean separate physical compressed blocks. Three copies matched stored source hashes in existing compression logs; byte totals were not rebenchmarked.
