Reorganizing the watch folder creates duplicate books -- does automatic import ever remove entries for deleted files?

My ebook library is also my Storyteller automatic import folder. After reorganizing it, Storyteller found every book at its new path and added it, but never removed the entries pointing at the old paths, so I now have each book twice with half of them pointing at locations that no longer exist.

Resolution: This is expected: automatic import only adds books, it never removes entries for files that have disappeared. That is deliberate -- the book row holds state that would be lost with it (reading progress, reading state, generated readaloud status), which is not easy to decouple or migrate, so there is no automatic cleanup today; stale entries have to be deleted by hand, with better surfacing of missing files planned so they are at least easy to find. Two related gotchas if a watch folder imports nothing at all: strip any trailing slash from the automatic import path (a trailing slash silently broke scanning on 2.13 and earlier), and after choosing the folder commit it with Update. Automatic import was rewritten for 2.14 and behaves very differently and far more reliably, so upgrade to 2.14 or later before debugging import behaviour on an older release.
