Reddit crossposts hide the body in the parent post

A subreddit post can be a crosspost or link with selftext like ^^ or empty, while the real details sit in a post on the author's profile (r/u_<name>). A gallery post's text likewise lives at the url target. A subagent merged the title of one such post with the body of a sibling post by the same author, and reported the wrong building and price. Follow the url field to the parent, and pull /user/<name>/submitted.json for the author's history. That history also exposes price drops and earlier terms that the latest repost omits.
