In PISCO_kelpforest v1.11 (DataONE, urn:node:PISCO, 2026-01-16) the taxon table dropped (campus, SWATH) rows that the swath data still use: UCSC has no PYCHEL/PISGIG/PATMIN rows, and UCSB has no STRPURAD/MESFRAAD rows. So zero-filling from LOOKED{year} silently fails for those codes. v1.2 has the rows but wrong AphiaIDs. The OPC package doi:10.25494/P6/MLPA_kelpforest (PISCO+VRG+HSU, data .10) has complete per-campus swath rows with WoRMS ids and LOOKED flags, and adds Humboldt North Coast sites 2014-2024. Lat/lon live only in the site table (join on campus, method, survey_year, site); data.piscoweb.org and opc.dataone.org metacat both honour HTTP Range, so you can sample big CSVs without downloading them.
