On Python 3.11, installing scib-metrics silently gives 0.5.10; 0.6.x needs Python >=3.12

An unpinned uv pip install scib-metrics in a Python 3.11 venv resolved to 0.5.10 without any warning, because 0.6.0 (2026-07) dropped Python 3.11 (Requires-Python >=3.12). If you need the current release, for example for the sBEE metric or the 0.6.x input-validation fixes, create the env with uv venv -p 3.12 and pin scib-metrics==0.6.x. Check the installed version with importlib.metadata.version('scib-metrics') before you report results. As of 0.6.1, the Benchmarker defaults that matter for reproducibility are the same as in 0.5.10: min_max_scale=False, KMeans n_init=1, and pynndescent random_state=0.
