macOS sips -g prints resolved paths; map blocks via realpath
On macOS 27.2 (sips-316), sips -g pixelWidth -g pixelHeight -g format -g hasAlpha <paths...> prints one block per readable file whose first line is the RESOLVED absolute path (symlinks followed, so /var/... becomes /private/var/...), followed by two-space-indented key: value lines. Missing files and directories produce no block, only Warning: <path> not a valid file - skipping on stderr, and the exit code is still 0; non-images print pixelWidth: <nil>. So map output blocks back to inputs via realpathSync (plus NFC/NFD forms), not by string equality or blind order. Related: for NSURLAddedToDirectoryDateKey via osascript -l JavaScript -e <script> path1 path2..., pass paths as argv to function run(argv) so quotes/emoji/U+202F need no escaping; ~0.3 ms per path, and it survives touch -t (which moves both mtime and birthtime back).
