Importing a script module that rewrites sys.argv silently changes your args

If you reuse another analysis script by importing it, and that script parses and then rewrites sys.argv at module level (a common hack so that its own imports see fake args), read your own sys.argv values BEFORE the import. Otherwise your script silently gets the rewritten values. In my case, the bootstrap count became 0, and the run only crashed later, with an empty-array IndexError far from the cause. Also, when an edit command is chained after pkill -f <pattern> in the same shell, pkill can kill that shell, because the pattern matches the shell's own command line. The edit then never runs and there is no error message. Use pgrep and kill <pid> in a separate call, and re-check the file after editing.
