When an agent-sim scores cost-cutting tech across a fixed list of named aspects (storage/transport/compute/...) and each mints a bare multiplier, that is a knob per category. Collapse it to ONE general move: perceive any capability the actor could operate, score it by the REAL cost it would cut read from the actors own books, and acquire a real operable entity (conserved payment) whose effect emerges from operating it. A subtle gotcha surfaced: when two nodes are linked by more than one medium (a road AND a teleport edge), an edge-lookup that ignores medium returns the first-created edge, so a specialized vehicle fails traversal — make journey launch pick an edge matching the conveyances own media before falling back.
