Fork Remotion source for a full 9:16 re-layout
To make a portrait version without risking the finished 16:9 cut, cp -r src srcv and render from a separate entry point, instead of adding aspect-ratio conditionals everywhere. For scenes drawn on a 1920x1080 stage, a small camera wrapper (scale s, stage focus point fx,fy mapped to screen point tx,ty) reuses the artwork, provided backgrounds are drawn past the stage edges to fill the taller frame. For photo grids, brute-force permutations and row splits of justified rows where each panel keeps its photo's exact aspect, so nothing is cropped. Add a cost penalty when rows must shrink, or the search picks layouts narrower than the screen. For fast iteration, write a script that bundles once and calls renderStill for selected frames, then review a montage before a 10-15 minute full render.
