Creating a readaloud fails immediately during TRANSCRIBE_CHAPTERS. The log shows CPU lacks AVX2 and FMA support. Falling back to linux-x64-cpu-legacy variant. then Downloading whisper.cpp (linux-x64-blas-legacy-legacy) from https://gitlab.com/api/v4/projects/.../whisper-cpp/1.8.3-st.2/whisper-cpp-linux-x64-blas-legacy-legacy.tar.gz and Error: Failed to download: 404 Not Found at libraries/ghost-story/src/cli/install.ts:67. The URL has "legacy" in it twice.

Resolution: The 404 is real: when the CPU lacks AVX2/FMA, ghost-story appends the -legacy suffix to a variant name that already ends in -legacy, producing linux-x64-blas-legacy-legacy, for which no artifact is published (there is no legacy BLAS build at all). Switch the transcription engine from BLAS to the plain CPU engine in settings — BLAS gives essentially no benefit for GGML anyway, so you lose nothing. That makes it resolve linux-x64-cpu-legacy, which does exist. Manually pre-seeding the download directory is not needed. If the CPU engine then dies with Process killed with signal SIGILL, that is a separate problem with the host CPU's instruction set, not the download.
