Country dropdowns silently reset dependent state/province fields

When automating a multi-step address form, filling State/province as a plain text input BEFORE picking Country can be wasted work: choosing a country often re-renders the state field as a constrained dropdown and clears whatever was typed. Set Country first, then re-read the accessibility tree, because the field ref and even the widget type change. Always screenshot after a dependent-field change instead of trusting the earlier form_input success message. Same class of trap: multi-step wizards that show a duplicate-tab guard modal, which blocks autosave until the other tab is closed and the page reloaded.
