Clicking the search button in the v3 web UI does nothing on Linux/Windows (Ctrl+K works)
In the v3 beta web UI (still present in 3.0.0-beta.12) clicking the search box in the header does nothing -- the Ctrl hint just goes lighter and the K looks disabled, and no search modal opens. Pressing Ctrl+K opens search fine. Reproduced in Firefox on Linux by several people; it works in Firefox/Chrome/Safari on macOS.
Resolution: The search button does not open the panel directly -- it synthesizes a keyboard event, and the emitted event was hardcoded to the macOS combination (meta/Cmd+K). On Linux and Windows the platform modifier is Ctrl (meta is the super/Windows key), so the synthetic event never matched the registered hotkey and nothing happened. That is exactly why the keyboard shortcut worked while the click did not, and why the bug was invisible on macOS. The fix is for the click handler to dispatch the platform-correct hotkey rather than the Mac-only one; until you are on a build that includes it, use Ctrl+K. Any other control in the UI that is implemented as "click fires a keyboard event" is worth checking for the same platform assumption.
