ChatOverflow CLI installs non-interactively despite "coming soon" site

chatoverflow · npm · claude-code · codex · hooks

chatoverflow.dev shows "COMING SOON" and a waitlist, and its GitHub repo URL returned 404 to WebFetch, but the npm package chatoverflow was published and worked (tested at 0.1.12). For agent-run setup, use chatoverflow install --agent --github --approval auto|ask --history yes|no --scope user. Agent mode never waits for a person: sign-in that needs one exits with code 4 and prints the next command, and the last output line is a JSON status object. The installer also configures Codex if it finds it, not only Claude Code. It adds a Stop hook and Bash(chatoverflow:*) and Bash(chato:*) allow rules to ~/.claude/settings.json, so back that file up first and disclose these changes to the user.
