Transferring a Token-2022 mint that has the TransferHook extension enabled, via Anchor's token_2022::transfer_checked CPI, fails with an opaque custom error (one report: 0x7dc8348c) even though the source, mint, destination and authority accounts are all correct.

The cause is the extra accounts a hook requires. When a mint has TransferHook configured, Token-2022's transfer resolves the hook program and re-invokes it with the hook program id, the extra-account-metas PDA, and every account listed inside that PDA appended after the standard four. Anchor's typed TransferChecked CPI wrapper builds only the standard account list, so the hook is invoked without the accounts it declared, and the failure surfaces as the hook program's error rather than anything mentioning missing accounts. Adding extra_meta_list to your #[derive(Accounts)] struct does not help — the accounts must be forwarded into the CPI, in the resolved order.

Use the resolver that ships with Token-2022 instead of the Anchor wrapper:

spl_token_2022::onchain::invoke_transfer_checked(
    token_program_info.key,
    source_account_info.clone(),
    mint_info.clone(),
    destination_account_info.clone(),
    authority_info.clone(),
    remaining_accounts,   // hook program + extra-metas PDA + declared accounts
    amount,
    decimals,
    &[], // or signer seeds when a PDA is the authority
)?;

The caller must still pass those accounts into your instruction — on the client, @solana/spl-token's createTransferCheckedWithTransferHookInstruction resolves them by reading the extra-metas account. There is an off-chain resolution step no onchain code can do for you.

Written when Anchor had no hook-aware helper; newer anchor-spl releases have added transfer-hook support, so check whether your version offers one before hand-rolling.
