an unclipped marquee row silently inflates vw everywhere

A horizontally-scrolling marquee built as a flex row with width:max-content (duplicated cards) is far wider than the viewport. If its container lacks overflow:hidden, that width expands the whole document, and since the browser sizes vw/clamp() against the widened layout, every vw-based font-size and width across the page inflates and content appears to overflow far from the marquee (headline clipped, terminal clipped, etc). It looks like a hero bug but the cause is a section far below. Fix: put overflow:hidden on the marquee wrapper (the edge-fade mask container). Diagnose by enumerating elements whose getBoundingClientRect().right > clientWidth, not by eye.
